CGI Annual Dinner & Awards Evening held at the Royal Yacht on Friday October 11th 2024

The Jersey branch of the Corporate Governance Institute (CGI), formerly the Institute of Chartered Company Secretaries (ICSA), held its Annual Dinner, Graduation & Awards evening at the Royal Yacht on Friday October 11 2024.

The event was attended by 220 guests, who enjoyed a three-course gourmet meal in the Celestial Dining Hall, hosted by ITV’s, Jess Dunsdon.

Sponsors of the event included: APEX, BPP, Computershare, First Intuition, JTC Group, Rathbones and Ravenscroft.

The Awards ceremony initially celebrated graduating students and those being upgraded to Associate, or Fellow, status. 

It then focussed on the eight Corporate Awards, which followed a comprehensive filtering process and a series of interviews with a Judging Panel consisting of Tony Wood (Branch Chair), Nigel Simpson, Michelle Leverington, Mathew Beale and Bob le Corre.

The Winners of the CGI Awards for 2024 were as follows:

Diversity & Inclusion initiative – Gen II

Governance Team of the Year - Mourant Governance Services

Risk and Compliance Team of the Year – Computershare

Compliance Special Recognition Award – Jersey Government Financial Crime Strategy Team

One to Watch Award – Colby Degering JTC Group
