Julian Cunningham-Day, Partner, London
Julian is a Partner with 25 years’ experience of technology projects and is Co-Leader of Linklaters’ global Technology Sector Group. Julian has worked for many years on some of our largest IT transactions as well as advisory mandates in relation to data protection, information governance and other aspects of technology risk management. Julian is a member of Linklaters’ Generative AI steering group and regularly counsels clients on their adoption of AI. He also specialises in technology implementation projects for many of our major clients, including HSBC, Vodafone, Apple, Barclays, JPMorgan, Wells Fargo, Bank of America
Paul Johnston, Associate Director, ONE Advisory Limited and Chair of the CGI SE England Branch
Paul is an Associate Director at ONE Advisory Limited, a business providing financial reporting and corporate governance services to a range of listed clients. Paul is also Company Secretary at the Blockchain and Climate Institute, an international think tank looking at deployment of emerging technologies to address climate change, and serves as the Chair of the CGI's South East England Branch.
Paul passionately believes that the corporate governance / company secretarial profession has a central role to play in supporting companies to do the ‘right thing’, both in terms of ethical standards and value generation for shareholders and other stakeholders. The demands on the profession are changing and it’s important that the profession adapts to these demands. He is a Top Voice in Artificial Intelligence on LinkedIn. Gilles specialises in digital transformation and leveraging AI to provide significant value to market leaders. He has expertise in enhancing strategic decision-making, value creation, effectiveness, and operational efficiency for C-suite executives and their teams.
Valentina Dotto, Policy Advisor, CGIUKI
Valentina Dotto is a Policy Advisor at the Chartered Governance Institute UK and Ireland, specializing in effective corporate governance. In 2022, she received the 'heavy lifters' award from DIACC for her contributions to the development of the Pan Canadian Trust Framework. She is a member of the World Council on Environmental Law (WCEL) and the Global Network of Human Rights and Environment (GNHRE). She holds a bachelor's degree in International Development from Università Degli Studi di Torino, during which she completed placements at the Campus of the United Nations.
Alan Hewitt, Non-Executive Director, Praxonomy Ltd
Alan has been involved with IT, Services and Consulting for over 40 years and has an extensive range of experience across multiple industries in many countries. He worked at IBM for 30 years where he was an Executive Partner within their Consulting Business GBS (Global Business Solutions) and was the Global Leader for the Workforce Transformation practice. He was part of the core global team that made and executed the PwCC (Price Waterhouse Coopers Consulting) acquisition in 2001 taking responsibility for the capability of the combined organisation across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Since 2018 he has been a Non-Executive Director for Praxonomy Ltd who build and market a Board Management Software offering called Boardlogic. More recently Alan has been looking at the current focus on AI and its potential impact on organisations and boards in particular.
Laura Reynaud, Associate Director, Cognizant
Laura Reynaud is an Associate Director at Cognizant. She is a US-qualified commercial lawyer with 16 years of experience in the Middle East. Reynaud specializes in commercial contracts, mainly technology contracts, IP, cloud computing, and data protection. Reynaud holds an LLM focused in International Corporate and Commercial Law from King's College London. She is based in UAE.
