2020 Winner
In a year when the quality of nominations was stronger than ever, this nomination – which described the Ministry’s three-stage project to assess its existing governance arrangements and identify both strengths and areas for improvement – was a standout.
This was a very strong nomination which was striking in the way it both described the work involved and spelled out its wider strategic significance. Also described, crucially, were the organisational benefits which flowed from the work and the ultimate value to stakeholders. Particularly noteworthy was the way MOHRE used their governance maturity review not just to transform their own work but to share their learning with other parts of the organisation.
