Our conference partners Trust Governance Professionals are offering all delegates of the Academy Governance Summit attendance at a free Trust Governance Insight (TGI) taster session on Monday 7th February 9.30-11am which will focus on the topic of induction and training, a compliance update, and profile the online portal used to share advice and guidance referred to by participants as the ‘governance sweetie shop.’
TGI is a rolling virtual programme offering training, resources, tailored one-to-one advice and access to a community of over 140 academy governance professionals, working in trusts of all sizes and collectively supporting over 1,000 schools. TGI training sessions cover good practice for key areas of work by hearing from our team and expert external speakers, compliance updates, and insights into different approaches that trusts across the country are taking.
TGI members also share resources, questions or challenges across our community on a daily basis through our online platform. All TGI members receive a free place on a Confederation of School Trusts masterclass and professional subscription with The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland.
To take advantage of this free session please sign up here and if you would like to find out more, just contact Emma Perkin.
Trust Governance Professionals is an organisation on a mission to support academy trust governance professionals. We were established by a group of governance professionals motivated by the knowledge that the governance role in academy trusts is unique, multi-faceted and broad-ranging.
We have experience of directly delivering academy governance across the full range of aspects of this role – from board and committee support to local governance, risk, compliance, policies, admissions, exclusions, data protection, and freedom of information. We leverage this in-depth knowledge of the demands and complexities of this role in order to provide expert support to trusts in recruiting, inducting and training the emerging cohort of governance professionals across the country. We do this in particular through our flagship programme, Trust Governance Insight, which is an annual programme of training sessions, resources, bulletins and one-to-one support. It is unique in focusing on practical guidance for professionals working in academy governance and our fantastic community of 140+ governance professionals meet and stay in touch regularly throughout the academic year.
