Richard started his career in governance in local government. He qualified as a Chartered Secretary in 2006 and moved into an Assistant Company Secretary role in financial services. He joined The Football Association in 2009, becoming Company Secretary in 2015.
He is also Company Secretary of The FA’s main subsidiary companies, Wembley National Stadium Limited and National Football Centre Limited as well as Trust Secretary to The FA Benevolent Fund and FA National Sports Centre Trust.
