How our virtual conferences work

Our virtual conferences, including all main sessions and networking, are delivered via our conference app as well as a web-platform. Once you have secured your place at the event, you will be sent instructions on how to download the app and login.

In order to enjoy the whole conference experience, you should make sure you have the app downloaded or saved the link to the  event web-platform on your desktop or laptop and enable before the event starts.

Sponsors

We are delighted that our virtual conferences continue to enjoy the support of sponsors from around the governance and compliance community.

All our sponsors will be available, in the Exhibition Hall/Sponsors tab. Simply click on each sponsor’s logo to enter the sponsor’s room where you will find information on what they do, view product demos and enjoy a live chat with a sponsor representative.

Agenda

When you enter the Agenda, you will be able to create your own bespoke agenda by scrolling down the sessions and clicking on the star to the right of each session.   You can then click on My Agenda which can be found on the top right.

To participate in each session you need to click on View Video Feed.  At the end of each session you will need to come out and go to the next session of your choice.

Streamed sessions

If you are attending a conference at which a number of sessions are offered concurrently, you can join the session of your choice by simply clicking on the session title.

All sessions are recorded so you will be able to download and view any sessions you missed at a later date.

Networking

While the main conference sessions are running, you will be able to ask questions by using the Q&A box.

For some sessions, you may be invited by the facilitator to join a small group to discuss a particular topic highlighted in a previous session.

You can also continue the conversations with speakers and your peers  by going to the Messages tab.

Some of our conferences also include a number of Networking and themed discussions, including in the early morning before the main sessions start, mid-morning and during the lunch hour. During these breaks you can either step away for a break or join one of themed round table discussions hosted by our sponsors. Each roundtable will examine a different governance topic and will last no more than 20 minutes.

You will be invited in the run-up to the event to choose which roundtable(s) you wish to join. You can join as many roundtable sessions throughout the day as you wish, although numbers in each session will be limited.

Keep an eye on these pages and the conference app for details of roundtable sessions as they are confirmed.

Arranging meetings

If you want to arrange a meeting with another person, you can do so by messaging them from within the app and meet them in our dedicated meeting room. You can have meetings with more than one person.  To do so you need to have invited the first person to the meeting and once that has been accepted, within the meeting, you will have the option to add more attendees.

Your schedule of meetings will appear in the Meeting tab.

Don’t worry if you can’t meet everyone you want during the day – the meetings functionality will still be open for a limited period after the event.
