In the wake of COVID-19, organisations are increasingly looking at ways to hold their board and committee meetings virtually.
There’s a lot to think about, and in this webinar, which is presented in association with Lorraine Young Board Advisory Services, we look at just some of the key considerations which will make the difference between a decent meeting and a truly effective one.
They include the need to choose the right communication channel, underpinned by clear instructions on its use and an awareness of its potential impact on the meeting. There is, too, merit in having a proper structure to keep the meeting on course, the benefits of avoiding unnecessary complexity – and the need, above all, to prepare.
We also consider the role of the chair and the challenges of allowing adequate debate and getting a sense of the meeting. Finally, we reflect upon why good boardroom practices are even more vital than ever when it comes to holding meetings virtually.
Your speaker for this webinar is Lorraine Young FCG, Director, Lorraine Young Board Advisory Services.
