In light of the FRC’s review of the UK Corporate Governance Code, this event examines the future of governance and the potential implications for boards and company secretaries.
Taking into account the FRC’s previous work on corporate culture and succession planning, and the issues raised in both the Government’s Green Paper and its corporate governance reform proposals issued on 29 August, as well as the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Select Committee inquiry, the session will consider the appropriate balance between principles and provisions and asks if good governance can operate by principles alone.
This morning seminar also provides the opportunity for delegates to benchmark their own governance arrangements against the findings in Grant Thornton’s Annual Corporate Governance Review which looks at trends in compliance and disclosure in the FTSE 350. (find out more about the 2016 review here).
