Role of members in a charitable company limited by guarantee

Within academy trust schools there can be some confusion as to the role of members. The charitable company limited by guarantee (CLG) structure is one that has been used widely within the not for profit sector, with some success. This guidance note draws upon experience of CLGs to help inform those involved with, or interested in, academy trusts to help develop understanding of the company and charity law aspects of members in a charitable CLG.
