Our Foundation Programme provides the relevant skills and knowledge to help prepare you to meet the demands of Part One of our Qualifying Programme. This is especially useful if you do not have the academic or professional experience to enter the Qualifying Programme at Part One. The Foundation Programme is your first step on the path to a career as a governance professional or company secretary.

- Exam paper - this is the paper that was set at the exam session
- Mark scheme - this is the document markers used to assess students' answers
- Examiner's report - this is the examiner's comment on the examination performance
- Student answers - for some sessions we can show examples of answers students wrote in the examination
- Pass rates - These pass rates refer to exams from the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and Associated Territories (all territories administered by the Chartered Governance Institute’s office in London).

Webinars
We deliver a number of study support webinars for Part One and Part Two of the Qualifying Programme, covering topics ranging from planning your study to exam strategy, and these can be found in the 'Learning resources' area, so you can view it at a time to suit you.

e-learning
Students on the Foundation Programme now have access to the associated e-learning course to aid with their study.
This e-learning tool provides a pre-read on each chapter of the study text with interactive features to guide students through the content before they read the study text.
It can be revisited as many times as you like, making it the perfect tool to aid your revision before the exam. Features include:- Interactive pages to aid learning.
- Interactive questions to test your knowledge with instant feedback.
Once you have registered on for the Foundation Programme, you will be given access to the e-learning. Please note if you are already registered onto our Learner Management System, you will need to email learning@cgi.org.uk and request to have the Foundation Programme pathway added to your training plan.
Once you have registered your details, you will receive an approval email within 48 hours (Monday-Friday) confirming your account is ready to use.
