Guernsey, 1 June 2021

The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland – Bailiwick of Guernsey Branch is seeking nominations for this year’s Guernsey Branch Awards. Run each year, the Awards recognise the most talented governance experts and corporate service providers that Guernsey has to offer.

Nominations are being sought in the following categories:

  • Company Secretary of the Year
  • Governance Professional of the Year
  • Corporate Services Team of the Year
  • The One to Watch
  • Administrator of the Year

Teresa Le Couteur, winner of last year’s Company Secretary of the Year award and the current chair of the Institute’s Guernsey branch says:

“The Awards are the highlight of the governance calendar for the many governance professionals, company secretaries and trust administrators who are working or studying in Guernsey. They are the focal point of our annual branch dinner at which we celebrate the achievements of our members and students and as a previous winner I know just how gratifying it can be to have your efforts recognised in the presence of your peers. The past year has shown just how vital good governance is to business stability and I look forward to being able to celebrate those governance gurus who have done so much to keep things on an even keel during the pandemic.”

Nominations for the Awards close at midnight on 1 September. The Awards Dinner itself will take place on Friday 29 October 2021 at the Duke of Richmond Hotel, when the branch’s Student Excellence Awards will also be presented based on examination performance in 2020/2021.
