About Us

The Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) maintains a presence in the MENA region through its local members and its MoU with Hawkamah. We strive to enhance the presence of the Institute within the Middle East and North Africa to support members and students throughout their careers and study programmes, as qualified or aspiring governance professionals. The MENA region has a number of CGI tuition partners providing professional tuition support for the Foundation, CGI qualifying scheme and Fast Track professionals route towards getting the coveted chartered status. CGI MENA offers face to face and virtual continuing professional development training and briefing sessions for governance professionals, company secretaries and those interested in regional regulatory and governance changes. CGIUKI and Hawkamah work together to raise awareness of the need for professional and qualified chartered governance professionals and company secretaries through CGI MENA.

CGI MENA welcomes and supports CGI affiliate members too.

Rob Ford FCG

Rob is the Executive Director of Strategy and Governance at Governance Gurus FZE, the premier Tuition Partner of CGIUKI in the MENA region. He also has extensive experience in developing and improving governance frameworks, policies, and systems to ensure that organisations are compliant, efficient, and profitable. In addition, he has a strong background in HRM and training, and delivers excellent masterclasses and seminars on topics such as advanced leadership, ESG strategy, and diversity together with corporate culture transformation projects.
