The East of England Branch (comprising Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and parts of North London) hosted a webinar to hear about the process and benefits of upgrading from Graduate to Associate and Associate to Fellow.
This session covered the application process, the evidence required and the opportunity in smaller groups to do some networking and hear from others who have gone through the process.

The East of England Branch (comprising Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and parts of North London) hosted a webinar on the changes to the Charities Act that are coming into force this autumn, spring 2023 and autumn 2023.
An overview of the changes was delivered by Mike Beckett, who is an experienced charity leader.

Our speaker, Beverley Turner, Chartered Tax Advisor and Chartered Secretary, talked mainly about Income Tax and Corporation Tax, areas in which she specialises.
The BBC Studios Response and Lessons for the Future for the East

She also addressed the pros and cons of charities versus not-for-profit organisations as well as when charities should have their accounts independently reviewed and by whom.
