Welcome to The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland - Isle of Man branch. This branch was established in the early 1980's. We provide support to the Institute's members and students in the Isle of Man.

About Us

Established in the early 1980's, we provide continuing professional development and networking opportunities for the Institute's members and students living in The Isle of Man. Our events are also open to free subscribers and non-members who would like to learn more about the Institute.

The aims of the branch are:

  • To support continuing professional development and networking opportunities.
  • To promote the profession in the Isle of Man.
  • To support and encourage our students.

The local branch strives to enhance the presence of the Institute within the Isle of Man, to support members and students throughout their careers and study programmes, as qualified or aspiring governance professionals. Juan Moore ACG

Juan Moore has been an associate member of the Chartered Governance Institute since 2004, and a Fellow since 2017. He has extensive experience within the Trust and Company Service Provider sector where he worked for in-excess of twenty years. Juan more recently worked 6 years as CEO of the Law Society before establishing his own governance and compliance consultancy company, Resolute Consultancy Limited. Juan was a member of the Isle of Man Branch Council for 7 years. Juan was instrumental in establishing, and chairs, the branch Wellbeing Committee in 2022. Juan was elected as branch president in December 2022.
