North East of England

This event took place on Tuesday 23 May 2023

Good minute taking is a deceptively difficult and time-consuming task and is often described as an art. There is no one-size fits all solution. Minutes are as individual as the board to which they relate though decisions about format, style and content often need to be informed by knowledge of the law, and of regulatory and market practice.

Rodica Damian gave an introduction to the art of minute taking suitable for those new to this essential task, and for the more experienced practitioners looking for a refresher, or for answers to minute taking dilemmas.

One of the most effective ways to enhance corporate governance is by having a diverse board. Recently, many organisations have worked to create diversity in their boards so that they are more reflective of society as well as have a range of perspectives, insights and challenge needed to support fairness and good decision making.

This event was an opportunity to consider, discuss and share the implications of diversifying the Board.
