About us

We provide networking opportunities for The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland's members and students living and working in Guernsey. Our events are also open to free subscribers and non-members who would like to learn more about the Institute.

The aims of the branch are:

  • To support continuing professional development and networking opportunities.
  • To support and encourage students.
  • To promote the profession in Guernsey.

Grant Wilson FCG

Grant is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute and has been a member since 1988. He was an executive director of several global investment management companies for over twenty years before moving to Guernsey to become the Chief Investment Officer of an Investment Consultancy. Grant has been a Director and Trustee of numerous investment structures, listed and private. He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and an Associate of the CFA Society of the UK.

Kate Lenfestey ACG

Kate joined the Group Company Secretarial Team at Northern Trust in 2022 following a long stint at the GTA University Centre as Head of University Programmes, company secretary and hr manager. Kate is an associate member of The Chartered Governance Institute, and holds a degree in history from the University of Chichester and a postgraduate certificate in digital marketing from the University of Southampton. In her spare time Kate provides company secretarial support to a number of local charities.

Megan de Garis

Megan is an Assistant Manager at Langham Hall (Guernsey) Limited, an independent fund administrator. Since joining in June 2020, Megan has completed the Level 4 Certificate in International Finance and Administration and is currently undertaking the MSc in Corporate Governance/GradCG with Bournemouth University. Megan has experience in the trust industry and has also previously worked with two professional orchestras in the UK, organising their concerts and community engagement programmes. Megan holds a first class degree in Music from the University of Sheffield.

Sonia Bourgaize ACG

Sonia is Managing Director of Collas Crill Trust Limited, an independent provider of trust and corporate solutions to private clients and institutions. She has over thirty years experience working in the Guernsey fiduciary sector and as well as being an Associate of The Chartered Governance Institute she also holds the Institute of Directors (IoD) Diploma in Company Direction. Sonia joined Collas Crill Trust Limited in January 2018 and during her career she has looked after large, complex structures spanning multiple jurisdictions. She has specialised in structures for entrepreneurial clients and has expertise in private equity, corporate governance and the management of non-traditional assets.

Colin Eastburn-Mallory ACG

Colin is a company secretary for BNP Paribas Securities Services, and also acts as the secretary for Liberate, a Guernsey charity serving the local LGBTQ+ population. He joined BNP Paribas in 2021, after spending five years working in governance roles at the Northern Trust Corporation, and the Sovereign Group in Guernsey. Prior to relocating to Guernsey in 2016, Colin worked in the non-profit sector and supported organizations in the United States, Canada, and Guyana. Colin holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Toronto, where he double-majored in International Development Studies and Health Studies. He is an Associate of The Chartered Governance Institute, having been admitted in 2021. In his free time, Colin enjoys travelling, cooking, and taking part in amateur theatre productions.
