Established in the early 1980's, we provide continuing professional development and networking opportunites for the Institute's members and students living in Jersey. Our events are also open to free subscribers and non-members who would like to learn more about the Institute.
The aims of the branch are:

The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland maintains a presence in the Bailiwick of Jersey through its local branch committee. The local branch strives to enhance the presence of the Institute within Jersey and Gibraltar, to support members and students throughout their careers and study programmes, as qualified or aspiring governance professionals. Branch Chair
Tony Wood FCG, FCSI
Tony has been a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute since 2002, with Associate status gained in 1998.
He worked at Standard Bank for almost 28 years, rising to Head of Investment Strategy, focusing on multi-asset investing, having previously led the international Fixed Interest team.
Departing in 2019, he joined a small investment boutique, before joining JTC Group in 2021.
Tony is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and a Chartered Wealth Manager.

Vice-Chair
Garry Toy
Garry started his professional life in offshore finance with Coopers & Lybrand in 1983 and he has now worked in the Trust and Company management arena for almost 40 years. During his career, Garry has held board positions at several local trust companies and he also spent six years living and working in Bermuda.
It was while Garry was working with Bank of Bermuda in Hamilton in 2004 that he was elected as a Fellow of the Institute. In 2017, Garry established a dedicated single private family office in St Helier and he now works exclusively for his client family.

Secretary
Elizabeth Epifanio
Elizabeth Epifanio FCG is a Director in Fiduciary Management for RBC Wealth Management in the British Isles.
Based in Jersey, Elizabeth manages a portfolio of international high net worth individuals and families, with particular experience and focus in meeting the wealth management and estate planning needs of clients from the UK and US.
In 2021 she was elected to Fellow status (FCG).

Treasurer
Marco Cassiano
Marco is a qualified accountant and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and an associate member of the Chartered Governance Institute, with 30 years of workplace experience in risk management and fraud mitigation. His extensive experience spans various industries, including banking, government, and telecommunications.
Marco has a proven track record in developing resilient control environments to mitigate revenue loss risks, underpinned by robust corporate governance, which in turn improves strategic decision-making in capital investments enabling strong growth. His expertise ensures financial integrity and operational efficiency, contributing to the sustainable growth and success of the organisations he has served.
