This year, CGIUKI is delighted to present our members with digital membership badges and certificates – credentials which can be showcased across a range of online platforms, from social media to email signatures.
These credentials reflect the achievements and progress our members have made in their governance journey, making it simpler to showcase knowledge and ability to others across online networks and spaces.
If you have any questions about how to use your digital credentials, please see the FAQs and guides below, or visit the Credly support page.
Your guide to CGIUKI digital badges
Digital badges are a way to showcase your qualifications and training on social media platforms like LinkedIn.
When listing courses, training and qualifications you've completed, a digital badge adds context, weight - and a bit of flair - to your achievement. Think of it like a certificate you'd put on the wall, but on your online profile instead.
If you are a CGIUKI member, look out for your invitation to accept your digital membership badge and certificate soon. It takes just a couple of minutes to set up your account, accept your credentials and share them online.
Once you have registered with Credly, you will be able to quickly and easily share your bages on your LinkedIn profile, where they will sit amongst your Licenses & Certifications section, showcasing your hard work.
No - this is a member benefit that we're delighted to be giving you as part of your existing CGIUKI membership, at no extra cost, and with minimal effort.
The full badge roll-out is a gradual process, so please be patient as we ensure every member receives the right badges at the right time.
We hope to get digital badges to everyone over the next few weeks, so if you haven't received an email from Credly before the end of March 2026, please don't panic.
The acceptance and use of digital badges is completely up to the individual.
Once you receive your registration email, you will have a few weeks to decide whether or not to accept your badges and use them on your LinkedIn profile. If you take no action, your badges will be returned to Credly, with no impact to you, your CGIUKI membership or your LinkedIn page.
Yes. We are working with Credly, who is the issuer of our digital badges, to bring this member benefit to you.
Information about your badge(s) and the badges themselves will come from Credly, rather than CGIUKI, but if you have any hesitations about an email, please do let us know.
If you have a question around how to access or use your badges, you can find all the information you need on the Credly website here: Credly support page.
