Learn the Fundamentals of Governance...

We are excited to announce the launch of a new range of resources for governance professionals who are looking to improve their knowledge of governance, or simply jog their memory.

To get the ball rolling we’ve released three e-learning courses on the fundamentals of Risk Management, Boardroom Dynamics and Corporate Governance.

Each course consists of four, 15 minutes modules, that include:

  • case studies
  • interactive learning scenarios
  • and reflective exercises.

The fundamentals of governance e-learning courses have been been put together to help you understand the key elements of the topic and the exercises have been developed to reinforce your understanding.

At the end of each module there are short quizzes to help you determine if the knowledge has embedded in your mind, or if you need further review.

Boardroom Dynamics

This module explores the dynamics of, and between, members of the board and how these factors contribute to effective decision making.

Key topics covered in this course include:

  • The skills needed for the company secretary/governance professional to support boardroom performance by enabling both effective individual behaviours and group processes.
  • An appreciation of and competence in more behavioural, cultural and psychological aspects of boardroom practice.
  • Understanding the dynamics of, and between, board members and how these factors contribute to an effective board and the sustainability of an organisation.
  • What boards and company secretaries/governance professionals can do differently and how they can influence and affect change within the remit of their role.

Corporate Governance

This module covers key elements of corporate governance best practice for those who wish to develop their skills and knowledge associated with the role of a governance professional across a wide range of organisations.
