Members of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries India (ICSI) and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators Nigeria (ICSAN) can study the Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme and bypass certain modules.
Part of our Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the two Institutes, it means you could qualify as a chartered governance professional faster than you thought.
ICSI members
You could be exempt from up to four modules from the Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme if you are:
- A current ICSI Associate or Fellow
- Have at least two years’ relevant work experience or training in governance
You will only need to take the Company Law, Corporate Governance and Risk Management modules.

Get endorsement from ICSI
Step 2
Register as a CGIUKI student member
Following your endorsement, our membership team will be in touch to register you as a student member. You will need to pay a fee which covers:
- Registration fee
- Annual student membership fee
- Exemption fee for the four exempted modules
ICSAN members
You could be exempt from up to five modules from the Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme if you are:
- A current member of ICSAN
- Completed your final exam after November 2011
You will only need to take the Corporate Governance and Risk Management modules.

Complete the MOU registration form and submit it to ICSAN’s Endorsing Officer who will need to confirm your application.
Step 2
Register as a CGIUKI student member
Following your endorsement, you can register as a CGIUKI student member. You will need to pay a fee which covers:
- Registration fee
- Annual student membership fee
- Exemption fee for the five exempted modules
