About the Charity Governance Code

The Charity Governance Code is a practical tool to help charities and their trustees develop high standards of governance. The Code is not a legal or regulatory requirement; it is created by the sector, for the sector.

CGIUKI is a part of the steering group responsible for the Code. The other steering group members are ACEVO: Charity Leaders Network, Association of Chairs, NCVO: National Council for Voluntary Organisations and WCVA: Wales Council for Voluntary Action.

The current consultation on the Code is generously supported by The Clothworkers Company, Withers LLP and Wrigley’s LLP.
