Overview
This session aims to create a supportive and informal environment, focusing on community, encouragement and peer-to-peer learning. As well as connecting with other students, attendees will have the chance to hear from recent Qualifying Programme survivors and discuss common challenges such as finding study time, staying motivated and exam technique.Attendees should leave feeling more confident, better connected and reassured that they're not facing the challenges of studying alone. Practical tools such as a study plan to help structure time will be shared with attendees following the session.
Speaker: Sarah Bowler, Deputy Company Secretary, The Development Bank of Wales
Sarah is Deputy Company Secretary at the Development Bank of Wales plc, supporting Board and Committee governance within a Welsh Government-owned public limited company, and has worked in governance since 2016, having begun her career in the education sector. She is an Affiliated Member of the Chartered Governance Institute (CGI), Student Champion for the CGI South West Branch, and is currently studying the CGI Qualifying Programme (QP) with the aim of becoming a Chartered Company Secretary.
