Paul Johnston ACG

Paul has been working in the corporate governance field for more than fifteen years, including experience in working in the public, private and third sectors. Paul’s most recent experience has been working in professional services and has wide-ranging experience in working with private sector clients, including those in the FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and AIM indices.

Paul believes strongly in supporting and empowering the corporate governance profession and currently chairs the South-East England Branch of the Chartered Governance Institute UK and Ireland. He has also spoken at a number of corporate governance events on ESG issues, including as a panellist at CGI ESG Summit in 2023 and at various London Stock Exchange events on areas such as corporate governance for newly listed companies and how Boards can most effectively respond to the risk and opportunities posed by emerging technologies. He has also recently co-authored a publication looking at Board diversity in FTSE Small Cap and AIM-listed companies, and a publication in the CGIUK magazine Governance and Compliance on age diversity on boards.

Outside of his day job, Paul has a passion for sustainability issues, and acts as the Director of Governance for the Blockchain and Climate Institute, an international think tank promoting the use of emerging technologies in combatting climate change, and for Thames 21, a charity promoting sustainable rivers. Paul attended COP-27 in Egypt in 2022 and brings a strong understanding of ESG frameworks, reporting and how boards can ensure effective governance around the ESG agenda.

Boglarka Radi ACG

Boglarka is an award-winning chartered governance professional, currently working in an in-house role with a large international insurance business. Boglarka has master’s degrees in both Corporate Governance and Environmental Engineering. She is currently doing her PhD focusing on Corporate Governance and the ‘S’ of the ESG framework, focussing on Modern Slavery related issues within business’ supply chains.

Boglarka is passionate about governance and human rights and has published several articles around ESG-related topics internationally to raise awareness. She has published several blog articles with the Chartered Governance Institute of UK & Ireland around ESG and Modern Slavery related issues. She had been appointed as a committee member and technical expert at British Standards Institution’s (BSI) Governance and Modern Slavery committees. She had attended BSI’s annual conference in 2022 and held multiple workshops on good organisational governance for various stakeholders. She has also held guest lectures at London South Bank University focusing on governance and ESG.
