Helpful information after your exams

After exams

Extenuating circumstances

Our guidance on extenuating circumstances tells you what you need to do if you think we should make adjustments to your exam conditions in advance of the session. It also covers how you can inform us after the exam if you think something affected your performance.

If you have taken an examination, and experienced any issues which you feel have impacted your performance, you can submit an extenuating circumstance after the examination session has ended. This can be found in the 'My Results' area of your MyCG.

If you have any questions, send an email to examinations@cgi.org.uk and we will get back to you.

Sector Qualifications: Re-sitting a failed assessment

Our resit policy for sector qualifications explains what you need to do if you don’t pass an assessment the first time. It outlines when you can take a resit, how to book one, and what support is available.

If you’re planning to resit an assessment, make sure you understand the eligibility criteria and any deadlines that may apply

Appeals policy

After you receive your result you can refer to the Assessment appeals policy for guidance.
