It also offers an overview of the key legal and regulatory compliance requirements and the role played by training and education in sports organisations.

By the end of this module, you'll be able to:
- Provide an overview of the challenges faced by sports organisations.
- Explain the ways in which sports governance can mitigate against some of the challenges faced.
- Understand how the influence of governing bodies over their members affects sports governance.
- Know the issues affecting safe sport and explain how sports governance can promote safe environments for sport.
- Describe the ways in which ethics and culture can impact governance in sport organisations.
- Explain key compliance rules, regulations and procedures in a sports governance context.
- Understand the importance of continuous learning and education in sport governance.

Content
The module is an online learning component of a larger self-paced programme with e-learning content, self-assessments, knowledge check quizzes, real-world examples (practical case studies) and other online resources. It will also be supported by a schedule of live webinars with a tutor, group discussions and feedback on discussions and assessments.
