Overview
Understanding financial statements is only the beginning. The real value comes from using financial information to make better business decisions.
For leaders, managers and directors, finance is not about accounting. It is about evaluating performance, assessing risk, allocating resources, planning for growth and creating long-term value. Organisations that consistently outperform their competitors are often those whose leaders can translate financial information into effective action.
This final stage builds on the foundations covered in Part One and focuses on applying financial insight to improve organisational performance and support strategic decision-making. Delegates will learn how to measure financial health, evaluate business opportunities, interpret financial information and use financial thinking to build an understanding of the business and hence help support growth.
What you'll learn
The purpose of this course is to develop delegates' ability to use financial information as a practical management and leadership tool.
Participants will build their understanding of performance measurement, budgeting, forecasting and commercial decision-making. The programme explores how financial data can be used to assess organisational health, support strategic planning, evaluate investment opportunities and create long-term value.
Through practical exercises and business-focused discussions, delegates will strengthen their financial awareness and develop the confidence to contribute more effectively to financial, commercial and strategic conversations.
