The Irish Screening of Third Country Transactions Act 2023 (the Act) entered into force on 6 January 2025, introducing mandatory notification and pre-clearance for in scope transactions.

On 6 January 2025, the Screening of Third Country Transactions Act 2023 (“Act”) entered into full force in Ireland, resulting in a new regime requiring mandatory screening of qualifying acquisitions of Irish target assets or undertakings for national security and public order concerns.

The Irish Screening of Third Country Transactions Act 2023 (the Act) is currently expected to enter into force by 30 June 2024.
