When you complete the Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme or a validated postgraduate degree, you become a graduate member of the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland. Achieving graduate member status demonstrates you've got an exceptionally high-level understanding of the many subjects relevant to governance.

Affiliated membership is our non-chartered level. It’s a straightforward way to get professional recognition for your existing academic and career achievements, without the need to study for another qualification. If you already have a relevant degree, professional qualification, or work experience in governance – or a similar sector, like law or finance – it’s likely you’re eligible for affiliated membership of CGIUKI.

Membership of the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland (CGIUKI) is about more than getting a professional qualification. The concessionary rate of membership is applicable to members and students who are based in countries with lower income thresholds than the UK.
