Retiring from work? You don’t have to leave us. If you’re at least 66 and no longer working full- or part-time in a paid or voluntary professional role, you’re eligible for retired membership at a reduced rate. Stay part of CGIUKI and continue sharing your knowledge, influence and enthusiasm for the governance profession.

Maintain your professional standing and carry on championing the governance sector by renewing your CGIUKI membership. Our 12-month membership year gets underway on 1 August each year, with members being able to renew from 1 July. We’ll send you regular reminders, with information on the different ways you can renew and pay for your membership.

Student membership of the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland is your first step to chartered status. Everyone studying for a CGIUKI qualification becomes a student member, whether you’re studying the Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme, the Foundation Programme, or one of our short course qualifications.
